Enter His Gates With Thanksgiving (Psalm 100)

Psalm 100 is a call to give thanks and praise to the Lord!

“Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.”

What a perfect way to start a new day! I pray that the words of this Psalm will encourage you and help you maintain your focus on the Lord today and throughout your week. In every area of your life, enter His gates with thanksgiving this week, and know that the Lord is God!

Heavenly Father, thank you for my brothers and sisters in Christ. I lift up each person reading this and joining me in prayer, that you would lead them and guide them by the Holy Spirit. Protect their hearts, minds, and bodies, and strengthen them in times of weakness and trial. Surround them and their families with your angels, and guard them and lift them up. Help them to walk in obedience to whatever You call them to. Give them opportunities to share your love and Gospel with others this week, and empower them to reflect the image and shine the light of Jesus wherever they go. May they be immersed in prayer, grounded by your Word, and led by your Spirit throughout the entire week; and may they bring your glory and honor in all they do! In Jesus’ name I pray all of these things, Amen!
