The Everlasting God (Psalm 90:1-2)

“Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” (Psa. 90:1-2, Moses)

Moses must have been thinking back to his conversation with God at the scene of the burning bush when he wrote that part of his prayer. (more…)

Our Source (Psalm 87)

In Psalm 87, the psalmist writes about the celebrated “city of God”, Zion.

“Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.” (v4)

On Sundays around the world, people gather in church buildings and homes worshiping the Lord. (more…)

If We Would Only Listen (Psalm 81:13-14)

“If my people would only listen to me, if Israel would only follow my ways, how quickly would I subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes!” (Psa. 81:13-14)

God was waiting for Israel to repent and turn back to Him. He wanted to restore them and bless them w/ His covenant promises, but they were in no position to receive His blessing. (more…)
