Just Add Water (John 17:17)

“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” (John 17:17)

Try washing the dishes in your sink without water, or washing the clothes in your laundry machine without water, or taking a bath without water. Pretty difficult and ineffective right?

We can’t expect those things to be thoroughly cleaned without immersing them in water, and we likewise can’t expect to live a sanctified life (set apart for use by God, cleansed, made holy) without immersing ourselves in His Word. So why do so many Christians think they can? (more…)

There are many people in this world who claim to have no evidence of God in their lives or in this world. Furthermore, there are those who may believe in God, but don’t have a healthy and flouring relationship with Him. Why is that? (more…)

Call On Him (Psalm 145:18-20)

“The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.” (Psa. 145:18-20)

Psalm 145 has so many amazing truths, and the Lord spoke to me about many situations in my life throughout its different verses. It made it hard to pick just one to share some thoughts on today! That said, verses 18-20 reminds me of his faithfulness. (more…)

Short and Sweet (Psalm 117:1-2)

Psalm 117 is the shortest chapter in the Bible, and also brings us right into the middle of the Bible, being the 595th chapter. It reads:

“Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love towards us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord.” (Psa. 117:1-2)

It’s such a short chapter… only 3 brief sentences, but it packs so much TRUTH about our God in it! Reading through this chapter, it reminded me of the following about the Lord: (more…)
