“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20)
Some people like to call it their “B.C.” or “Before Christ” years, referring to the period of their life before coming to faith and salvation in Jesus. I remember mine, and it wasn’t pretty.
“‘Woman,’ he said, ‘why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?’ Thinking he was the gardener, she said, ‘Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.’ Jesus said to her, ‘Mary.’ She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, ‘Rabboni!’ (which means Teacher). (John 20:15-16)
I was 24 years old when I believed in Jesus as my Lord and Savior. When I share my testimony with people, I always mention that there was a church service I went to in which with absolute 100% certainty, I knew that God was speaking directly to me. It was the moment I recognized that He knew my name. (more…)
“Let them know that it is your hand, that you, Lord, have done it. While they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice.” (Psa. 109:27-28)
Once in while, we’re going to run into people that oppose us. And when we openly share our faith, we will ABSOLUTELY run into people who oppose God and our Christian views. If you haven’t run into that yet, then you may not be sharing your faith enough… jus’ sayin! 😉 #foodforthought (more…)
