Bring It On (Hosea 9:7)

“The days of punishment are coming, the days of reckoning are at hand. Let Israel know this. Because your sins are so many and your hostility so great, the prophet is considered a fool, the inspired man a maniac.” (Hosea 9:7)

Have you ever been labeled as a “Jesus freak” or ridiculed for your faith in some other way? I have. And if you have, then take heart, because when you represent Christ and are mocked for it, you are surely blessed! (more…)

Cursed and Attacked (Psalm 109:27-28)

“Let them know that it is your hand, that you, Lord, have done it. While they curse, may you bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may your servant rejoice.” (Psa. 109:27-28)

Once in while, we’re going to run into people that oppose us. And when we openly share our faith, we will ABSOLUTELY run into people who oppose God and our Christian views. If you haven’t run into that yet, then you may not be sharing your faith enough… jus’ sayin! 😉 #foodforthought (more…)

Psalms for Persecution (Psalm 56:3-4)

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise- in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Psa. 56:3-4)

This verse makes me think of Christians in other countries that are truly persecuted for being Christian, and I am sure that these verses and Psalms give them hope. We are SO incredibly sheltered in America from the type of physical and spiritual persecution that Christians in other parts of the world go through, and it’s hard to imagine being tortured and having your loved ones tortured as well for following Jesus.
