The Lord of the Harvest (John 21:4-6)

Early in the morning, Jesus stood on the shore, but the disciples did not realize it was Jesus. He called out to them, ‘Friends, haven’t you any fish?’

‘No,’ they answered.

He said, ‘Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.’

When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.” (John 21:4-6)

While there were many fish to catch in the Sea of Tiberias where the disciples were casting their net, they were unsuccessful in their efforts. That is, until the presence of Jesus and obedience of His words changed everything. (more…)

Live Each Day

Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. Eph 6:7-8

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Col 3:23-24

Happy Monday everyone! As we begin the work week, I’m sure that many of you feel the same way when I say that sometimes work isn’t that fun. You’re in the minority if you actually have your dream job- the “job I would choose to do if money weren’t a factor”. We all have that dream position in our minds. (more…)
