I Lift Up My Soul (Psalm 143:8)
“Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.” (Psa. 143:8)
David was crying out in the midst of despair, hopelessness, and depression. He prayed to the Lord for deliverance from his enemies, and also for divine guidance- not that he would do his own will, but that the Lord would be the one to lead him and give him hope for His Name’s sake. (more…)
Tell Your Story (Psalm 107:2-3)
“Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story— those He redeemed from the hand of the foe, those He gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.” (Psa. 107:2-3)
As Christians, telling our story is a powerful tool that the Lord has given us to encourage, edify, and evangelize. When we share with others what God has done in our lives, we bear witness to His goodness and faithfulness. (more…)
Beyond the Distractions
My kids are frustrating me a bit at this very moment. I’ve been sitting here for over an hour during the time I set aside to spend with God, but I haven’t gotten very far at all because my kids keep distracting me. (more…)
Domino Effect
One thing I was just thinking about right now is that I feel like there is so much kingdom-work to be done, even in what God is calling me to do personally.
