One thing I was just thinking about right now is that I feel like there is so much kingdom-work to be done, even in what God is calling me to do personally. So an interesting thing happened recently. For my men’s group reading, we’re now back in the book of Matthew after completing the Old Testament. As I was chatting with a friend from my group via Email, I told him, “I’m excited to get into the New Testament again and study Jesus’ life even closer!” Okay, I know that doesn’t sound all that interesting. Yet God still called me to serve as a worship leader, as the youth worship director at my church, and has given me the heart to write songs. Why? Because it’s about doing things in His power to bring Him glory, and not what I can do in my own strength or abilities. (more…)
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. Eph 6:7-8
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Col 3:23-24
Happy Monday everyone! As we begin the work week, I’m sure that many of you feel the same way when I say that sometimes work isn’t that fun. You’re in the minority if you actually have your dream job- the “job I would choose to do if money weren’t a factor”. We all have that dream position in our minds. (more…)
