“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.” (John 14:1)
It’s so easy (and natural) to let this physical world and the circumstances around us dictate our level of confidence and peace. The COVID-19 pandemic is a perfect example of this, as for many this novel coronavirus is planting seeds of fear, anxiety, and despair in our hearts.
“O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.” (Psa. 139:1)
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?” (Psa. 139:7) “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psa. 139:13-14)
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psa. 139:23-24)
