Shift Reality

During a small group discussion at a conference I attended recently, we discussed the issue of how many of us as Christians live our day-to-day lives seemingly uninspired, simply going through the motions. Complacency can lead us to merely accepting where we currently are… it is what it is, right? But if you feel like there’s more to life than what you’re currently experiencing, then why settle?

God has uniquely designed you, given you specific gifts and talents, set you apart, and placed you where you are in order to fulfill a greater purpose! Yes, we’re all busy with work, school, family, friends, activities, etc… but in the midst of all that craziness, He gives us opportunities to make eternal impacts.

Don’t let your circumstances, the way others perceive you, or even the way you perceive yourself, define your reality. That’s not reality at all, that’s self-imposed limitations. As ambassadors for Christ, He can shift your current “reality” according to His power that is at work within us. God created you for so much more!

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14

King David recognized the amount of inspiration, beauty, and wonder that God has woven into each of us as His children. Can you honestly say you feel the same way? Let’s begin to see ourselves and others through God’s eyes. Imagine what we could accomplish for His glory if we owned that position every day!

My prayer today is that we can fully embrace an intimate relationship with the Lord, and tap into the power of His Spirit daily. God wants you to know that you are so very special to Him, He loves you, and as our Father and Creator, knows you more than you know yourself. May He awaken each of us to our calling, and give us the desire and confidence to step into the reality of who we are in Christ! Amen!
